And Here We Have Idaho...

Man...I'm not sure I remember how to post. Life has been CRAZY busy now-a-dayz!...The Kiddos are in school,

We managed to smuggle Max in soccer this fall (thanks Teresa!),

and Emma is in the midst of her singing/acting debut.

I've realized the past couple of weeks that, sure, Idaho isn't Hawaii, but it's not so bad either. We went to the cabin last weekend with my mom. We decided to drive through Ashton and see Mesa Falls. We saw beautiful foliage the whole way there (not something we would see in Hawaii). After stopping at the falls, we noticed many many cow pies in the road. We were boasting about the fact that we had missed the round up, and, yep, you guessed it, up we pulled right up to a the rear ends of a huge herd of cows (Also not a sight often seen in Hawaii). After following our friendly cows and cowboys for about 30 minutes at 2 miles per hour, they parted for us to MOOOOve on by. It was so funny....we loved it. We settled in at the cabin and chatted with Uncle Craig, Aunt Janice, Beans, and Bailey for a while, and then we were off to see Old Faithful. We walked around the paint pots (which Max described as smelling like poop on eggs), and by the time we got to Old Faithful it was snowing...Definitely not experienced in Hawaii!! It was a quick trip, but we did all of the essentials:
-roasted hot dogs
-played games
-took a bubble bath
-ate wheat pancakes for breakfast
-fed the fish, ducks, and muskrat at Big Springs
It was great!

(Reed is happy as can be..Emma, not so much cuz Reed just peed-at least she is trying to be happy!)

Then, this weekend, we decided to go for a hike up City Creek. We hi hoed for about an hour before it started to get dark. The kids loved to go off the trail closer to the creek and collect leaves. It was great fun. Anyway, I really did realize that Idaho is an okay place to be after all
